Story Sample
The little drone loved to fly. In circles. In figure eights. Low and high, around trees and in between the swings. He was born to fly, and he loved the gentle whir of his small propellers. As he rose just a little higher in the sky, the trees looked like broccoli, the benches like building blocks, and people like tiny toy figures who waved up at him and smiled.

Most of all, Little Drone loved his pilot, a boy named Marco. Marco had studied hard to become a drone pilot. He and the little drone were a team. They flew together almost every day, after school and always on sunny Saturdays. Marco guided the little drone with care as they explored the world together high above their home, using the little drone's camera to make beautiful pictures of their neighborhood.
On this Saturday, in the warm breeze, Marco sat on a park bench, his careful hands on the control box, his hopeful eyes fixed on the little drone as he was about to take off.
Marco looked at the control box screen to check the little drone’s battery power and where they were on a map of the park and the town's streets. The battery was full of energy. The wind was just right. They were ready to take off.
